“‘I‘ll do everything just as you say‘ Little Red Cap told her mother”. This quote is very interesting as it foreshadows Little Red Riding Hood going against her mother and getting into mischief.
This book would be appropriate for an older elementary crowd. I don‘t think the younger children would enjoy the idea of little red getting swallowed, and then imagine the wolf being cut open.
Fables
This story is the exact original version of Red Riding hood just with a unique taste of illustrations. I really enjoyed looking At the detailing of the paging The story ends happily, but it has a very dark middle. The grandmother and Little Red Riding Hood both get swallowed whole. In the end, it ends very darkly where the huntsman cuts open the wolf to free grandmother and little red.
“I‘ll never in my life stray off the path and go into the forest when my mother has told me not to.”
The Little Red Riding Hood by Jacob Grimm published in ?? is absolutely breathtaking. The story itself plus the intricate details.
This is probably my favorite version of this classic story. Love the illustrations and the story!
I LOVED this version of the classic story. The illustrations were amazing. There were cut outs and great uses of color and use of the whole page. This book brought the story to life and gave it an extra something. I really liked that in the end riding hood got eaten as well but that they both survived and lived happily ever after.
I loved the cutouts In the book! I think kids would really enjoy looking at them and seeing what‘s behind them
“It‘s me, little red cap, bringing you some cake and wine. Open the door!”
The illustrations in this book are AMAZING. I absolutely love them. They are interesting to touch too.
The plot is very simple and direct. The language is lively and keeps with oral tradition.
