At the very end of last year, I adopted this beautiful cat. Her name is April! #catsoflitsy
Fun and entertaining, but the info is pretty basic.
“The Southern Tiger Cat, also known as the Southern Little Spotted Cat, is a small South American cat listed as vulnerable by the IUCN. These cats are long, sleek, and spotted like leopards but weigh only between 3 and 7 pounds (1.4-3.2 kg).”

“If you‘d like to try nosework, start by letting your cat find, and eat, treats from small open boxes. Add an odor to one of the boxes and put more treats in that box than in any of the nonscented boxes. Gradually eliminate the treats from the other boxes until only the box containing an odor has a reward. If you‘ve worked with your cat and have trained any specific behaviors, like sit, you can add that to the game...”
“An alternative to pills can be compounding. If you have a pharmacy near you that does compounding, they can turn certain medications into tasty liquid that your cat will happily lap up. Talk to your veterinarian about the possibility of compounding. Not all medicines can be compounded, and compounds cost more than pills, but it might be worth it to make sure your cat takes the medicine he needs.”
“Regardless of breed and sex, all cats will have their good and bad points. It‘s a good idea to research breeds and to consider what traits you can and can‘t live with. In the end, though, you may have decided on a shorthaired male Siamese only to be captivated by a female domestic longhair. Do your homework - but it‘s also OK to listen to your heart.”
Fairly inclusive of important cat info. No mention of thyroid disease in cats though. Pleasant read, lots of photos.
Smirk doesn‘t know it yet but I‘m going to attempt to teach her to give a “high five” ✋🏼🙀
