Had just as much fun with this one as the first book (and the show). I still don‘t get the appeal of Honora for Artemis, but that‘s a minor quibble considering everything else going on in this book. For the most part I really liked the narrator but it bothered me how wrong she got Oz‘s voice.

Finished the first book - Slayer. As a huge Buffy fan I wanted to like this more then I did. It was still a pick overall and held my interest enough to move on to this one.

Really enjoying this series. Recommend.

This literally took me months to finish... I was bored with it and didn't really care for any of the characters. Which is a huge bummer because I normally like Kiersten White and Buffy is my all-time favorite show... but this was underwhelming after the 1st book was really fun. On the plus side, it was my #doublespin and 1/6 finished titles for #JubilantJuly

I'm struggling a bit to get into my #bookspin title after 50 pages, so I'm taking a break from it to try something else from my list...

2/3 of this book were very YA (teens making mistakes because they didn't talk to one another) but the last third of the book made up for it. I enjoyed the ending.

We're supposed to have nothing but cold, wet weather for the next 2 weeks - I'm going to make the most of my porch time while I can!

I really liked this book so far. Nina is a pretty cool Slayer in the Buffyverse. Yes, that Buffy! #chosen #kierstenwhite

There's a lot that takes place in this book and the story is good, plus it does end on a more positive note but Artemis just mars most of the enjoyment for me. This is book 2 of the Slayer series and I'll continue with it but I hope to gods that that character gets better or this may end up on my DNF pile with a few other series I've set down that have overly annoying characters.

A fun follow-up to Slayer with Nina developing into her slayer abilities a bit more while those around her adjust to her new status. I felt like I wanted a bit more from this book, but I don‘t know if the book was a little lacking or my expectations were just a bit too high. 🤔 But I enjoyed it!

Loved getting to spend the evening with Kiersten White last night at Tattered Cover as she discussed her latest book, Chosen, all things Buffy the Vampire Slayer and so much more. Another great thing, I‘ve now been to enough of her events that she remembered me and commented on being happy to see me. #AuthorEvent #BookSigning

This was the second book in this series, set in the Buffy-verse. I love White‘s writing and snark. And a bunch of favorites showed up for cameos.

So much good book (e)mail today! Thanks to Simon & Schuster Canada and Abrams Kids for these eARCs. I a so excited to read them! Really wish it was already the weekend so I could read all day.
