Not bad.
Such an amusing book! #RIP Ms. de Havilland ❤️🇫🇷
Olivia de Havilland‘s book probably discusses #FrenchKissingInTheUSA (I couldn‘t choose between these two covers. 😄) #wanderingjune
Stopped by the Library to pick up a reserve and decided to “just take a look”
at the books for sale. There was a section for small books marked 50 cents. I could not resist this retro find in perfect condition!
1. Olivia de Havilland—still going strong at 101.
2. I read until I fall asleep. 😊
3. Literary fiction.
4. Microwave oven.
5. Bookstore is closer. I only use the library for ebooks anyway.

Utterly charming. A sweet time capsule from the sophisticated grandmother you wished you had.
“Of course, when I arrived in France I found that the prevailing mode had nothing whatever to do with the look I left behind me. In fact, the sexy look had never been heard of. In France, it‘s assumed that if you‘re a woman, you are sexy, and you don‘t have to put on a dress to prove it.”

Olivia de Havilland, author and actor (as well as a pioneer in fighting for actors' rights and changing the studio system). Fortunately, she's still with us at the age of 100. #reallifeperson #octphotochallenge
Transport yourself back to 1950s France and experience culture shock through a movie star's eyes. Fantastic little book. Charming.
A light read , non fiction, set in the 1950s , the book is thoroughly enjoyable. Its an account of the Hollywood actress Olivia de Havilland settling in Paris with her husband and discovering France and all things french. Written in a light vein, the author displays wonderful capacity to laugh at herself. A great read to relax.
When I first started reading this, I was like, WTF was this written by a grownup Eloise in Paris? And then as I kept reading, I ended up thinking, Aw, this sounds like a grownup Eloise in Paris!
This was a charming but very dated read. Olivia de Havilland was like a 1950s David Sedaris. Instead of Me Talk Pretty One Day, it's She Talk Pretty ... To Christian Dior.
3/5 cups of coffee☕️
A delightful little read. sadly it was just too short for me. nonethless a witty and fun story of how hollywood starlet Olivia de Havilland becomes a Parisian🍷
Look at this little delight I just saw at Barnes and Noble! Has anyone read it?
Reading this book ... It's hilarious and lovely summer read about the City of Lights and its inhabitants from the pov of an esteemed actress who turned 100 years old.
Looking forward to reading this newly updated edition after enjoying the original many years ago!
