I moved into my new house in May 2020. I‘m still unpacking and sorting. I wasn‘t particularly active on Litsy since then for a variety of reasons. But this summer with my Litsy friends has been great! I‘m not going anywhere again. Weird thing: I just found four addressed and stamped envelopes from when I was only semi-active. There‘s nothing written on any of the cards in the envelopes. I‘m going to chalk this up to grief and moving. #JustBecause

I had some emergency plumbing done today so while the contractors cut holes in the walls trying to work out where the leak was coming from, I wrote #Justbecause and #Litsylove letters. The leak was in the roof so hopefully strata will pay. Considering the builder was responsible for drilling the hole into my cold water pipe, I definitely think they owe me. I have had to use Long Service Leave but let‘s face it, we ain‘t going nowhere for a while.

I grew up a navy brat and we moved a lot. Books were easily portable and kept me company until I made friends. they kept me busy when adults were talking adult stuff and I was the only kid present.

Books kept me sane when the world felt insane.

I read because it's life.
