The Wizard of Oz
The Wizard of Oz | Salman Rushdie
1 post | 1 read | 1 to read
For Rushdie The Wizard of Oz is more than a children's film, and more than a fantasy. It's a story "whose driving force is the inadequacy of adults," in which the "weakness of grown-ups forces children to take control of their own destinies."

GidgetsTreasures75 @rubyslippersreads I just read that the director of The Wizard of Oz edited out a lot of Ms. Hamilton‘s scenes because he felt they were too scary for children to see on the big screen! Can you imagine what he must of left out? That witch scared me for years!!! 5y
