Oh my goodness it took me so long to finish this book. Both my parents individually came to visit me and I have been such a busy bee. But this book was definitely worth the time it took to finish. Such an unbelievable and moving story. From the in-depth description of all the brutal training, to the suspense of describing active battle, it was like being thrown into the hellfire right with these amazing warriors.

A good friend of mine really doesn‘t read at all, despite my best efforts in recommending books to him. However, there is one particular book that he praises any time it comes up. I figure if it‘s good enough to get him to pick up a book, it has to be worth the read, right? My friend was infantry in the marines so I know this book means something personal to him. I can‘t wait to give it my full attention ❤️

52 of 2022. I enjoyed listening to it on audio to hear him tell his story. Definitely would recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finished my #doublespin over the weekend! This was great on audio and incredibly emotional. I always knew Navy SEALs were tough but dang. To hear about the mental and physical training they go through and then hear an experience that is WHY they go through it was moving. I‘m really glad I ended up pairing this with Jeremy Scahill‘s DIRTY WARS which is next on my TBR for the month.

The hubs has been after me to read the tagged, so I‘m glad it‘s my #doublespin this month! Also psyched that my #bookspin is a simple poetry collection! (Stole your template idea @MaleficentBookDragon - it‘s lovely!)

Last book I read this year. Going to miss my goal by 13. I was sick a lot this year, and some days didn't feel like reading much. Hopefully, next year I will reach my goal.

A heart wrenching story. To think the politicans may a law where are armed forces can be held accountable for murder during war is just stupid. I think they need to go fight and then their attitude would probably change. Thanks to all the US Armed Forces who protect us.

Loved this one! Great insight into a world I know so little about. Navy Seals and those in the military heroes all of them in my opinion.

Just saw the movie last night!!!! It was super amazing and you can just understand the things they went through while people save him for what he does. It went by the story most of the time....just a few things missing or changed.

Another read after seeing the movie and well worth reading for the background and mindset of these men who are put in these circumstances.

Loved this book. So thankful for the men and women who are willing to write a blank check with their lives for our country. Reliving the events of those days for him had to be gut renching but it will give you insight to what our military go through to prepare for and survive a battle.

This has been on the shelf a long time, one my husband wanted, but I'd never read. I'm reminded why I love fiction- because then the deaths aren't real, and I can dismiss my tears as silly. This book documenting the deaths of three brave sailors, and the ultimate survival-at a terrible cost - of one, is heart-rending. God bless our sailors, soldiers, airmen and marines.

Loved the movie and fell in love with the book even more. It's a true story. How Marcus Luttrell survived and chose to share his story with the world is amazing. Seriously a must read and it's a book I can read over and over again even though I cry every time.
