'Course I haven't read any of his works since high school-- when I read everything by him I could find-- but I reserve a giddy, childish ventricle of my heart just for Jarry. Long live Ubu Roi!
"Our lives are without reason, nothing outside the individuality." - Alfred Jarry Jarry is considered the godfather of absurdist theatre, his Ubu plays are incredibly nuts, often performed with puppets & happen to be brilliant. You can find productions of them on YouTube.
