2020 #20 This one struck way to close to my heart.
I pretty much claim all cakes in decemeber as birthday cakes for me (I mean technically this was made for the ‘bring a plate‘ style Christmas feast we had today at work)
Very delicious! I‘m almost sad that I‘m not working tomorrow because I won‘t get any leftovers 😂

Finished this audiobook is one sitting! It was sooooo good, but definitely emotional and heart-wrenching. I finished it off, with tears streaming down my face, while trying to make notes on grieving for my Working and Communicating in a Medical Workplace class. I laughed until I cried and I cried from sadness. Both things I don‘t do often while reading. This is the story of three besties, an “indiscretion” and cancer. It‘s set in Louisiana. It‘s “Christian fiction” but I didn‘t find it to be very specific to that genre - the God parts seemed to flow with the story. There are some problematic themes around race and class. Overall I recommend it. #readwomen
A bit of a tearjerker, but lovely story.
Very much not my thing, but probably the case of me being the wrong reader for this as other readers here on Litsy have loved it.
A very southern story about three lifelong best friends. They love each other fiercely. They face an unbearable loss with tears, love and humor only best friends share. This was a sweet way to spend an afternoon. #friendship #romance
