Happy Black Cat Day to everyone with house panthers!
Another installment of mystery and community with Mma Romatswe and friends. I love the way Mma Potikwane gently manipulates her in this one, in the sweetest and most well intended way.

1. I love wearing rings, I usually wear at least 5, and I really miss them!My favourite is one that has a turtle on it!
2. These are my photos of my visit to the spectacular Greater Thar, Rajasthan!
3. Reading Parable of the sower, it's too scarily prescient to be enjoyable!
Tagged book is set in Botswana, which shares a border with the Kalahari desert!
Great questions!
👍🏾Pick to “so-so” for me this time. I love this series and this installment has a lot of the charm and familiar qualities of the others, but felt sluggish in places; and the dilemmas for Mma Ramotswe to resolve felt thin.

Yep. Here I am reading my 20th cozy, humorous, and humane adventure with Mma Ramotswe, Rra J.L.B. Matekoni, Mma “97%” Makutsi, Mma Potokwane, and the rest! Alexander McCall Smith has consistently warmed my heart with this series. #AlexanderMcCallSmith #Series #booksandtea

This was a charming entry in the Ladies no. 1 series. It was the literary equivalent of a warm, fuzzy blanket and just the thing to break my reading block.
There were flowers, she said to herself; there were flowers that covered the land in the spring, tiny flowers that you might not notice unless you got down on your hands and knees and looked for them; and these flowers were in themselves a sign of the goodness that was still in the world, and in people‘s hearts, no matter what was happening on the outside.

In the 20th installment of No. 1 Ladies I‘m sensing a faster pace and change of tone that is very unwelcome. If Mma Ramotswe is going to turn into a crotchety old lady it‘s time to end the series. Hang it up, AMS, whether the publisher likes it or not.

I arrived at my tiny house weekend getaway and starting my weekend reading!

I am starting this tonight. All the food is put away, dishwasher going and family is sleeping. So I will be reading! Happy thanksgiving!

My #libraryhaul for the Thanksgiving break. Four days off and heading on a road trip on Friday to stay in a tiny house for the weekend! Happy Thanksgiving!

I picked this up! He was fun to hear speak, but I didn‘t get any decent photos. Next up: wandering the vendors, and food.

I didn‘t end up having the time to organize any meetups, but give me a shout out if you‘re here and I‘ll watch for you 🙂

TX Book Fest just released the first 15 author announcements for this October! I‘m excited to see Alexander McCall Smith, as I‘ve always loved the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. They also announced Saeed Jones, Susan Choi, Kristen Arnett, and more! Yay, I can‘t wait for it. Always one of my favorite weekends of the year!
