Well this is an tough one to review. A ginormous cast of loosely interlinked characters from 2 families travel a 50 year history - it‘s deftly written and the characters and insight into human nature are clever but for all that very little actually happens.

First, this cover!!!! 💯

Next, this book! It‘s a novel that‘s written like a collage of beautifully wrought pieces of short fiction weaves together into a fabulous whole. Truly wonderful.

It‘s a little less than 2 weeks until the next meeting of #LitsyATXReadersSociety. This month our topic is travel. We‘ll be in room 471, the 21st from 2-4. As usual, pre-meeting snack time in the cafe at 1. I hope to see you all there!

All praises to @alysonwrites for our bats about books graphic! ❤️🦇

Waiting rooms are dangerous. Thank you Oprah for your article “What I Can‘t Wait to Read This Summer” for adding these 3 to my toppling tbr.
