This book was so good and had me hooked from the very beginning!

I didn‘t see the romance in everyone cheating on each other. I didn‘t really relate much to Greta either. Normally I like time travel, but I‘m just not into the world wars or New York I guess. This doesn‘t improve my feelings about ECT for depression.

In The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells, electroshock therapy sends 1985 Greta to another life in 1941 and to yet another during the influenza outbreak of 1918. While there, she discovers the parallel lives she and her loved ones are living in different eras and has to make a choice about which Greta she truly wants to remain.

This book is a fascinating read and a little mind bending. The main character, Greta, travels through different time periods as herself following each shock treatment for depression. This is an enjoyable read looking at how we see ourselves and others when we have the opportunity to change/ redirect our lives.

'When you were a little girl, madam, was this the woman you dreamed of becoming?' The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells is about a woman dealing with loss and sorrow and through therapy is accidentally transported to her life in different times. Each one seems exciting and better than her's, but each one has its own sorrows to deal with. This quote plays a major role throughout about learning the heal and love yourself.

I wanted to like this more than I did. I loved the concept but got annoyed at Greta's character and actions.

What is it, the missing of people? It kills, and kills, and kills us.

It was great!

A unique and interesting take on time travel. But more importantly, a novel that makes you think about the life you lead and the choices you make. Beautifully written.
