This series (and I include this with Descender) is definitely one of my favorite science fiction comics. So good 👍 Love following the new characters, and also learning more about the old characters ❤️ Can‘t wait for volume 3!

Comic books as art...yes, I said it & in the case of anything Dustin Nguyen illustrates, it‘s so absolutely true. His watercolor art is what made Descender such a standout—it beautifully humanized the war between man & machine, & added real emotional depth to an already great story. That continues to be true with Ascender. Familiar faces appear as the story deepens & I can‘t wait to see where it goes.

Very quiet #ncbd. The tagged comic was the only issue on my pull list. Decided to also pick up Rat Queens, Vol. 2 because why not?!? Only when I pulled them out to take a picture did I notice that the covers, & really their colors, look good together.
