With Murdock trying to recruit her into Kingpin's criminal enterprise, Gwen must confront the Green Goblin--her old pal Harry Osborne--who is out for revenge for Peter Parker's death.

I've been needing to finish this for a long time. I'm up way too late, but it's worth it.

Been exploring Spider-Gwen via hoopla, and enjoying her story a lot. Getting to see the alternate earth versions of the 616 Marvel Universe is half the fun. Perhaps my favorite is seeing Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) as a scumbag lawyer for the Kingpin. His business card gave me a great laugh. #graphicnovel

In an alternate universe, Gwen Stacy was bitten by a radioactive spider, and becomes the hero of NY. It is usually refreshing to read a remix of a beloved property, but this one left me lukewarm. It‘s not bad, but the different personalities of otherwise familiar characters threw me off a bit. Still pretty enjoyable and worth a read for any Spider-Fan.

I love this #graphicnovel series! Spider-Gwen is a greatly enjoyable character. The volume was both action-packed and emotional. I love how realistic her character development is. I look forward to reading the other volumes in the series!

3/5

This was a fun, but somewhat slow Spider-Gwen story. I did really enjoyed getting more of this universe's Captain America's backstory, and more about this world as a whole, but I didn't love it as much as I hoped I would.

That outfit 👌🏻 Those colours 👌🏻 I have to admit I was a little confused because I wasn‘t up to date with regard to the going‘s-on in this multi spider-verse, but I still enjoyed this, and will have to just get up to date.

And speaking of things where I don't know what is going on, enter Spider-Gwen. I love the character but the back story on all the different Peter Parker plot lines is so hard to follow, and this volume got even more confusing. I don't think I'll be heading back.

Spider-Gwen, with some Magic:TG included in good spirits; the shop owner was worried about me browsing without buying, but I was thoroughly there to spend. - I'll have to bug him by being that browsing fella who buys the cutest comics. 😸 I haven't opened the card packs just yet. I could post a 'best of' reveal later, for deck adds and bookmarks.

This felt a little disjointed to me. It picked up near the end and I'd be willing to read more in the series, it just didn't blow me away.

Set in an alternate Earth where Gwen Stacy is the one to get spidey powers, Matt Murdock is a scumbag lawyer, & Cap is a woman, Spider-Gwen tells the story of Spider-Woman's quest to find redemption & justice for Peter Parker, all while trying to clear her name & elude the police who blame her for his death.

Spider-Gwen Vol1 is a not-to-miss comic, & Marvel fans will especially enjoy all the twists on the stories & characters they know & love.

I don't particularly love Spider Gwen. This volume was cute, but there's something about her arc I just don't find exciting. Great artwork though!

WOW okay this totally cleared up my confusion from Vol 0. Read 0 first, and then this. You'll be confused for like half of 0, but 1 clears it up AND you need to know what happens in 0 for 1 to make sense. So. Read Vol 0 first, then this one. I promise it'll all work out. Awesome to see a very pregnant Jessica Drew featured, along with Captain America who's a black woman?? #yesPLEASE

Carol Yay it worked out!! 👍 8y

Onto Vol 1, hoping it'll clear up some of my confusion about past happenings that were talked about a lot in Vol 0 but didn't really get fully explained.

I like Spider-Gwen. But in this volume, all of the secondary characters shine. I want more of the mysterious black, female Captain America and the Falcon. I want more Matt Murdock and Frank Castle. Even the random trip to the regular Marvel-verse with Jessica Drew... Moslty I want more of Gwen's dad - he's the best!
