pickI loved spending time with Godfrid, Connell, and Cait. I just wish the narrator could actually speak her native tongue. I don‘t understand how these basic mispronunciations weren‘t corrected. I would expect to have to do those parts again, but apparently Laurel Schroeder doesn‘t. As a native English speaker she should know how to say “chomping,” but - again - apparently not. “Champing” at the bit was jarring, distracting, and ridiculous.

Only four books left in the series (so far). I probably won‘t finish by the end of the month, but it will definitely be shortly after. I remember quite liking this one the first time around. The idea of Gareth and Gwen on parental leave is still amusing, too.

pick5🌟 Another great Sarah Woodbury book. I missed Gareth and Gwen (almost as much as the characters of this book did), but I really enjoyed getting to meet Cait and I‘m happy with the ending. I wouldn‘t mind more Godfrid and Cait books, but I‘m definitely looking forward to Gareth and Gwen returning from parental leave.

Powering through this sometimes awkward, but still amazing book (how many times do they have to mention Gareth and Gwen? Just curious. It‘s throwing me off. Forget the almost love triangle with Gwen, Godfrid‘s got a mancrush on Gareth!!!) so that @Texreader and I can dive into another of Sarah Woodbury‘s series, because she‘s just that awesome.

pickIt was good but not as good as the G&G mysteries. How do I know? I sort of trudged through this one and so it took a lot longer to read, a couple of weeks maybe? G&G books take me days. I think if she continues with the Dane stories they will become as compelling. The characters are great; we just need to grow with them some more.

I‘m 20% into this ebook and even though I miss Gareth and Gwen it‘s another great book from this author so far. The characters are so compelling. I also enjoy reading about the Danes founding Dublin. Fascinating.
