This short story blended Carrie with Halloween. A bit repetitive with pacing but the ending was sad all the same, even when it became clear where it was headed (complete with final scare coda). Poor Hannah.

Loved this short story. Perfect McMahon blend of “real or supernatural?” for Halloween. The narrator for the #Audible version was also very good.
Poor Hannah-Beast.

Happy Halloween!! This Jennifer McMahon short story is exactly the super spooky and haunting read I was looking for while waiting for the trick-or-treaters to descend! Genuinely chilling and set on Halloween, it‘s perfectly satisfying! #KindleUnlimited

I was super excited to stumble upon this Dark Corners collection of short stories by various authors via my Amazon Prime library. I like that the stories are available individually on both my Kindle and Audible. There are 7 stories in the collection perfect for fans of the horror genre. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, the first installment by Jennifer McMahon was perfect timing to get me in the spirit of the season.

This is my third Jennifer McMahon work so I'm familiar with her tropes by now. Her stories center around young, abused and/or bullied girls to which something bad happens. The stories are usually horrifying, but deeply sad as well. This short offering doesn't deviate, but it also doesn't disappoint. As an aside, it was in the Amazon Dark Corners series. I read all of those, but this is the only one I liked and would recommend for a dark night.

Digging the Dark Corners so far. Got about halfway through this short story on my lunch break. I don‘t normally read horror but this is a genre that I am getting more interested in and really wanting to expand on. Any/all suggestions welcome! #hannah-beast #amazonoriginalstories #shortstories #horror #horrorshortstories #kindle

Looking for a short burst of horror? Look no further. Hannah-Beast is a scary good short story despite the somewhat predictable ending. 💀

This is Book 1 of the Dark Corners series.

1. Help my freshman try to catch up on semester end virtual school work. It sucks, you guys!!! For real, she hates it. My straight-A student has become an “I just won't do it cause I don't like this format.“ student and I feel awful. :(

2. M&M's... MIL had an open bag on the kitchen counter, and every time we'd pass by we'd all grab a hand full. LOL

3. Anytime! Though lately I pretty much just read in the morning and afternoon at work.

Cupcake12 Love M&Ms, hope you have a good week. Thank you for playing x 4y
