Less about how YOU should eat; more about what he ate. Jurek tells a hard truth that many don‘t want to hear: you can compete (and win) on a vegan diet.

The prompt made me think of running. Which lead me to thinking of ultramarathons. 🏃‍♂️

Reggie Like 26 miles isn‘t enough, lol. And then there‘s that one race in Death Valley where you have to have multiple shoes cause they start to melt on the asphalt and you have to have a team just watching you the whole time. I admire them but think they‘re a little crazy. Lol 4y

I want this to be my approach to anything life throws at me, or that I seek to try.

My favorite running book. Scott really inspired me to run an ultra marathon.

Having first read about Scott Jurek in Born to Run, this book caught my eye. I was interested in learning more about him. His race stories were inspiring but some of the vegan evangelizing was annoying. I made an opposite journey from vegetarianism to eating much more animal protein and I‘m feeling much much better. But the book did what I needed it to do, fall in love with running again.

I only run when I'm late for the bus, but I really enjoyed reading this nonetheless.
