pickReally enjoyed this book! It felt like I was reading a Criminal Minds episode, and I love Criminal Minds. This book switches POV from a few characters, and I liked that. I wished that CJ would have made a few more distinctions from characters when it was a new POV, but still written well and good, but a tad creepy, storyline.
panThis is your typical kidnapping story. Truck driver kidnaps prostitute and gets rescued by cop. There isn't really much more to say about this book. It moves fairly slow and I didn't really feel hooked.
If you're going to read C.J. Box, Id say stick with the Joe Pickett series.

Did C.J. Box just kill off the MC in this quartet?? Yes, yes I think he did.
On to better things-hopefully. Got half way through The Suspect and just couldn‘t do it anymore.
pickEntertaining, fast paced crime novel. Take a long haul trucker in Montana, toss in two teenage girls stranded on the highway, involve a bitter veteran detective and a rookie cop, and the plot is pretty predictable. No real character development or surprise twists, but entertaining brain candy nonetheless. #crime #fiction
