#GaystheWord is a must-visit if you ever travel to #London. It‘s got a great history (watch the movie 🍿 PRIDE) and a fantastic selection of #LGBT novels. I got the book “Neon Roses” by Rachel Dawson, which tells the story of a young lesbian from a small mining community in Wales in the 1980s.
5 bookshops visited yesterday, and only 2 books purchased…I must make up for that today! 😁
Bought Thunderstone from the tagged shop, (the author wrote 50 Words for Snow) and the Beatrix Pottymouth is for @julesG as she had to have it when I showed her the sweary squirrel picture! 🤣
Also visited the lovely Word on the Water book barge, the British Library, Foyles and the London Review Bookshop.
This bookstore is amazing. If you‘re ever in London, it‘s close to the British Museum & King‘s Cross. Just take the tube 🚇 to Russel Square (Picadilly Line), and you will stand before it in ~3 minutes 📚☺️.

I‘m back in London from Montay til Friday. My hostel is close the wonderful & historical bookstore “Gay‘s the Word”. They usually have many signed books and also hold special events. Looking forward to going back tomorrow!

my first visit to gays the word since lockdown! London‘s first and I believe still only queer bookshop. The selection of bisexual-specific books wasn‘t huge but I got one and anne carson‘s translation of sappho‘s fragments, it was lovely to be here again!
