Hi everyone! I know I have really been MIA here lately. I‘ve recently gotten my mojo back with my other long-time hobby, quilting. Almost done with one project…stay tuned. Today I sneaked off to Baldwin‘s Book Barn to take a look at the quilting books. Was good and just got these two. They had copies of this magazine (middle). Their three employees are (L-R) 81, 88, and 82. Clearly, being in a wonderful bookish space is good for us 😊📚📚📚!

ValerieAndBooks @BekaReid lol! I had splurged on quilt fabrics recently, so I felt I had to limit myself to just two books this time. I live only 3.5 miles away from there, so I can go back easily 😊. How often do you get to Baldwin‘s? 3y

BekaReid @ValerieAndBooks I'm about an hour and half from Baldwin's. We try to get there once a year if possible. Was glad to get there this past October after a couple years of minimal travel! 3y

Meghan1 @ValerieAndBooks I used to live in Valley Forge, PA and I would go all the time. Now I live in Reading and it‘s just too far. 2y

ValerieAndBooks @Meghan1 I hope you have a good bookstore nearby! Baldwin‘s is only 6 miles away from me. But I don‘t find myself driving through their area often…a good thing for my budget, I‘m sure! 2y

Baldwin's Book Barn | West Chester, PA (Bookstore)

Our area has moved to yellow as of today, so Baldwin‘s Book Barn (used books) is open again! Son came with me too. This is my book haul. Hoping to get to an indie soon that sells new books, to try to find books from anti-racist reading lists.

Ugh on my selfie— ponytail and mask aren‘t a great look for me, but those books behind me are 🤩

TheLudicReader I have always wanted to read Marjorie Morningstar. Seems to me I saw the movie when I was a kid...or am I misremembering? 4y

Tagging another local used bookstore! Baldwin‘s Book Barn is five stories! While they do have more recently published used books, this is also an antiquarian and luxury edition paradise. On my last visit a while back , I even came across 1Q84 😊.

ValerieAndBooks @DivineDiana I was last there a few weeks ago — didn‘t get around to posting my haul. I tend to get just 2-3 from there at a time because it‘s not as inexpensive, but I sure love it there 💖! 5y
