so-soI like the setup of the novel and the way the events are presented. The chapters are on the shorter side and they follow multiple characters, creating a fast-paced novel that at times was hard to put down. The one thing I wasn‘t a fan of is the ending, which leaves many things unconcluded and unresolved, but I wouldn‘t necessarily define it as a cliffhanger; there were too many things left up in the air for my taste, even within a series.
panMost of the book was slow, except for the very beginning and the very end, and the core of the book was just a lot of the same things happening in different ways. Nothing was that significant. All the action in the core of the book had little to do with Milton and most to do with Elijah. I think if the book was presented as being about what it was truly about, it would have been better or at least more understandable.
John Milton is a great character who rather in Jack Reacher style wanders the planet rescuing people, even though those who he used to work for are searching the planet to kill him, they don‘t like his resignation from their employ! Not that well known a series but I really enjoying reading them, and now 15 in the series. #RescueMe #MOvember

Currently the first three books in The John Milton Series is available for 99p but only for another 11 hours (UK, not sure about elsewhere) - then it goes up to Qe.99. I recommend this series especially if you enjoy Jack Reacher, Mitch Rapp, Scott Harvard, Gabriel Allon, Joe Hunter, Spider Shepherd style Books. John was a government assassin, but wants to withdraw from this line of work but only way is through his own death. Follow his adventures!
Love the character John Milton created by Mark Dawson. John is a professional assassin but wants to get out of the business but the organisation won‘t let him and want to erase him. He tries to stay incognito but struggles as he feels duty bound to help those in need. Read the first three books in the series this year, loved them and keen to continue the series. #allthebokksof2017 #favouritenewcharacters #favoritenewcharacters
John Milton is #InTooDeep, he is an assassin for the Government but wants out. Will his employers let him leave or does he know too much? Watch as John Milton escapes and hides in plain sight in London. Definitely recommend this series, read the first three and enjoyed them all, and eager to move on with the series. #rocktober
Earlier today I finished my first book of the day, The Cleaner, for the #springcleaningreadathon. Will hope to finish two more today. The first I've read by this author but would be willing to try more, hopefully won't be as much gangsta culture in the next one. Now finished two during the readathon.

#springcleaningreadathon Starting this book as my audio book for the readathon. Not sure what to expect, as not read any by this author and only got it as audible offered a free download of it. Here goes! Has anyone read any in this series? Any thoughts?
