Changing Hands Bookstore | 
Friday was Educator Appreciation Night at my local independent bookstore which means free book swag for my treasure box, and used picture books for my students and class library! For myself they also had a 20% discount so I got Weyward (wish my picture could capture the shimmer of the insects! 😍) and Uncommon Type (I read the first story - Tom Hanks, wow!). I got The Scorpio Races for free (can‘t resist a horse story).

pickMy local bookstore is closed to support social distancing but continues to pay their employees. So awesome! When I saw that they‘re making self-care packages while closed I had to order one online to support them. I chose 3 potential books for them to select 1 from - I used my Reese‘s Book Club wishlist - and a theme - desert lover. It brightened my day & supported an independent business I love! 💚🌵

So I grabbed a random bookmark to throw in my book and just noticed it‘s a bit…dated. 😂 I know they‘re still around though, so they‘ve really beaten the odds!
It was crowded as Changing Hands Phoenix celebrated its 5th birthday tonight ! The Litsy tag is for the Tempe Az .store ,it celebrated its 45th (!) birthday this year.Great indies if you visit Az . Skip the summer though.
