💕
bit of a weekend. got to see the play the day before it closed and got to visit the bookstore one last time before it goes into storage for a little bit.

I grabbed some (hopefully helpful) goodies, as one of my resolutions is to get back in touch with my writing.

fun fact: before I switched to accounting, I was a creative writing major! big change but i wasn‘t happy writing for a grade.

I think I‘ll stay keepin my theatre minor though.

Living in NYC has its benefits. Incredible performances by three seasoned professional actors. Design is 🔥. Show closes Saturday, so we got in under the wire.
. . .
SPOILER: No magic spells cast other than the show itself.

Awk_Word_Smith It‘s good to know you all like my non-coffee related posts as well. 😂 6y

Awk_Word_Smith @jerra Oh that was the final show, wasn‘t it? It was so good. I was fortunate to be able to sit in on a Q&A after our show through my alumni association. Incredible director & actors! 6y
jerra @Awk_Word_Smith I think the day after, but I was gifted the tickets so I really have no idea. That‘s awesome though! I‘m a member of that website show score and sometimes I can grab opportunities like that, but! 6y
Awk_Word_Smith @jerra It‘s so wonderful to live in a place with access to the arts like we do here! 6y

Went to see this show last night and it was fantastic! Hilarious, intense, though-provoking and timely. After, Daniel Radcliffe came out and graciously signed autographs and took selfies for about half an hour. My pics were not great because it was dark and the crowd was crazy but I did get my playbill signed!

Pickpick

This book documents the fact-checking process of an essay by John D'Agata. John's defense for his wording reminds me of O'Brien's argument in The Things They Carried that facts are more true when embellished just enough to elicit the appropriate emotional response. Super interesting read.
