Disappointing! The best chapter is on trans womanhood, in which Sam hands over most of the essay unfiltered to trans woman Liz Duck-Chong. Sam has a talent for finding interesting people to talk to, but I wish she‘d given them more of a voice. There are swaths of passage where Sam doesn‘t seem to know what she is talking about. She takes on so many areas of womanhood most of her personal opinions didn‘t intrigue me.
