I finished my final book of 2021 right before the stroke of midnight! A perfect book for the end of year -Angela Gillespie writes an annual Christmas letter but this year decides to write the brutal truth instead of the happy, glossy version - perfect story right? Happy endings for all and a nice way to end another challenging, pandemic-filled year.

Angela Gillespie writes her annual end-of-the-year letter but this time pens the truth. Said to be in the way of Maeve Binchy, I think this is what I‘m looking for right now. 🤞

December was great with 44 read books, 5 of them audio books. Finished all challenges I attented.

It was a great reading year and I hope the next one will be just as great!

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Great job! 🎉 5y

A beautifully christmas-y story set in maybe for an European rather un-christmas-y Australia. But since the story spreads from one Christmas to another it still counts as a Christmas book for me. And one worth reading. I at least enjoyed the time spent with the Gillespies very much. Which is only because I read it during Christmas season when I can read emotional books without going crazy 😉

A nice story, if a bit predictable. I enjoyed reading it, there were no great surprises or OMG moments but a lovely insight into a large family facing more than the usual challenges that life throws up.

Zelma Sometimes those types of stories are perfectly satisfying. Good to know about this one; it‘s been on my TBR for awhile. 👍 7y

Sitting here reading, ignoring the fact that my Christmas tree is still decorated and waiting to be dismantled. I like my twinkle lights all year round!

Mostly good family drama about the ups and downs of an Australian family. Could've been edited down at least 100 pages.

Lillie Hoping to get a head start on the #bookolympics 😜 book 2 8y
