I quite liked this installment in the Nero Wolfe series. I knew only the bare minimum about the detectives but was able to follow along nicely. Very efficiently told and action packed.

#litsyclassics quite an entertaining detective story. As like in Christie's novels there is one detective who doesn't leave the house (like Poirot) and one employee (like Captain Hastings) who has to do the daily work. The detective solves several problems at the same time and even if it sounds curious, the novel has its idea from the reality.
Besides I liked the cover pretty much. 😍 #klett-cotta
Trying to read a little bit. I hurt my shoulder yesterday and even drugs don't help. The skin hurts, the shoulder hurts and my mood... No talking about that. Maybe reading helps. Hope I can concentrate.
New evening = new book

In a crime fiction reading class and loving it so far - had never read any Nero Wolfe before, but I really enjoyed this!
It's been a long time since I read a Nero Wolfe book--I needed a mystery more my speed after The Yard. I learned that 'au beurre noir' means 'with black butter' and that I still have as big a book crush on Archie Goodwin as I did in high school.
