Historical romance is definitely my favorite kind of romance.

Read this for book club and loved it 💕

Also, the heroine is named Jennifer! 😃

I am enjoying this book SO much!
TRUE enemies to lovers:

“And in that unlikely moment, as she held his dagger poised high, ready to strike, Royce thought she was the most magnificent creature he‘d ever beheld; a wild, beautiful, enraged angel of retribution, her chest rising and falling with fury as she courageously confronted an enemy who towered over her.”

If he‘s not thinking of how beautiful I am as I‘m about to kill him, he‘s not the one.

I've tried to read so many old school romances for a variety of podcasts and you know what? This one is the one that has hit. I am delightfully surprised by it!

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I remember reading this one back in the day, I loved it then, I‘m glad it held up! 3y
khooliha @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Ooh, thanks for the rec! 3y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa You‘re very welcome. I was a huge romance reader in high school and college, and there are a few that I loved and remember well. I still have those 2 sitting on my shelves. Another one you might like is Night Magic…which stars a romance writer who gets caught up in a story. 3y

You can see my four most precious (materialistic) things which are also part of my aesthetic. Camera is here because I obviously love photography, like ever since age 6. Coffee's there because I drink too much of it, way too much! My phone and earphones because of music, I just can't go without music. Everything's like 100 times better if you do it with music.

Bailedbailed

I feel guilty for bailing on A Kingdom of Dreams. Such positive reviews for it... But I believe since it is due back Monday, I am only 150 pages in and I have been skimming the last 50 pages... It was time. The Snow Queen is doing a better job of keeping my attention right now anyway...

This book opened my eyes. When I was just starting to be addicted to books my friend recommended this to me. I was still *innocent back then. Thinking it would be just a romance, I gave it a go. I was so shocked at certain parts (u guys know what I mean). I still have no clue about those things so I was blushing while reading and is scared someone would know what I've been up to. In the end, I liked the story and skipped a few parts to finish it.

Arcana Is that hardcover? 😜 I have all of her books, but in paperback! Having them in hardcover makes you a serious fan👍 8y
anj-neophyte @Arcana Haha, it's paperback! It's my only Judith Book. 😅 But I've read her other works. 🖖 8y
Zypdoda @Arcana I have several of her hardcovers. #seriousfanhere 😂 5y

The Duke of Claymore (aka "the Wolf") from Kingdom of Dreams could just as well have lived here, the Hollyrood Palace in Edinburg.

Sweet, HEA historical romance story with a feisty heroine and an alpha Duke. Light and entertaining for when the mood strikes :)
