This is my first read by Bentley Little. I've heard good things about his writing, but unfortunately for me, I wasn't the biggest fan of this one.

The story is all over the place with people going on wild killing sprees. It definitely made me feel on edge and uncomfortable while reading, which I liked, but I needed more substance to the characters and the plot.

vivastory I read his book The Store over the summer (found it ironically at Target). It was entertaining & conceptually hooked me, but I agree about the characters. 3y

This was a wild book. Bentley Little is one of the few authors that can make me feel uncomfortable. That is a good thing. I feel on edge while reading. The story is pretty crazy, spanning from the gold rush in the 1800s to today.
