I'm sure I read all the Henry Huggins books when i was young, but I didn't remember this one at all. Poor Ribsy, lost on an adventure in the wild world. #07-2024
10-25 Jul 22 (audiobook)
I am never quite sure it is worth spending an audible credit on a relatively short children‘s book, but Ribsy, being a Beverley Cleary story told from the perspective of Henry Huggins‘ much loved dog, was a fairly safe bet. Enjoyable and somewhat wholesome reminder of simpler, if not always better, times.
We‘ve now finished the Ramona books and the Henry books. Both series were huge hits with my 6 year old. What other series are good for kids this age? He prefers realistic stories to magical ones. In this one Ribsy gets lost and must rely on the kindness of strangers to find his way back to Henry. Told from Ribsy‘s perspective.
A very funny book about Ribsy who finds himself on a great adventure through town to find his way back to Henry Huggins! In true 1960s fashion, several people are happy to take him in and feed him and buy him treats. This is a must read for dog lovers, both young and old!

We got this in a 6 pack of books at the end of last year and I'm not sure I've ever read it! I'm a sucker for those 6 books for $6 deals Scholastic runs in May and June to clear out the warehouse! Lol #kidlit #raisingreaders
