Totally picked this for the cover 😍
If you like books that are a little sad but have a happy ending this is the book for you! Joan has such an awesome way of writing it keeps you at the edge of your seat but knows when to pull back. I really enjoyed this read. Sugar Mae Cole lost her home and her favourite teacher. She doesn‘t want to let go of her dream but she feels she can‘t hold on for long, but then a little dog might give her more hope then ever before!
When twelve-year-old Sugar's grandfather dies and her gambling father takes off yet again, Sugar and her mother lose their home in Missouri. They head to Chicago for a fresh start, only to discover that fresh starts aren't so easy to come by for the homeless. Nevertheless, Sugar's mother has taught her to be grateful no matter what, so Sugar does her best.⬇️⬇️
The weather is perfect, so I threw in my headphones and went for another quick walk. This audiobook is adorable so far. 💚💙 @wanderinglynn #BookFitnessChallenge
