I‘m confused with the movie adaptation of this film. I liked the book, I read the English version and watched the Spanish version movie. But I don‘t know if the English version movie follows the book plot? Or maybe it‘s different🤷🏽♀️The Spanish movie adaptation is pretty similar to the book.
An attempt to read a book in (Argentinian) Spanish. This might take a while…
I saw the audiobook was free and decided to read the book. I really enjoyed this one. Benjamin Chaparro decides to write a book to manage his retirement idleness. He will write about a crime case that occurred more than 20 years ago which he investigated. It has two time lines and I liked that slow character driven writing style. It has that existentialist tone about life. There is a good movie adaptation but with different end. 4⭐️
What to say about this one... I‘ve been so excited about this book after watching the movie trailer featuring Julia Roberts. It looked SO GOOD! I didn‘t even bother to read the blurb on the back of the book. Turns out the Americanized remake was a totally different story than the Argentinian original. Although not what I expected, once I got over the mild confusion, I found that I enjoyed the twists and turns of this murder mystery.
I have been working against any labor laws for the last weeks, so my reading time is suffering a lot. Today I made a point of taking time to cat something nice and read during lunch
