so-so

I got an advance reader's copy from #NetGalley

There were elements I enjoyed. One of the characters is an author hugely inspired by Lovecraft (thus the #Cthulhu) which was cool.

But there were things that just made me angry. I guess I really don't like mystery/thrillers were the resolution/reveal comes in the last 2 sentences :(

so-so

The main story was good but overshadowed by too much over-the-top stuff going on. The characters and subplots became unbelievable and distracting.

Reagan I just finished this today and I felt exactly the same. I wanted to like it but it was just way too over the top for me.
