I honestly liked this one more than the first one(slammed), definitely a good read full of all the emotions!

Book 2 in the “Slammed” series and I have to say this was a real and honest set of books. A lot of emotion. Maybe not terribly realistic but the characters are engaging and frankly I inhaled this in one sitting. A very quick read.

This might be an only me situation, but honestly I HATED this book. Literally hated it to the extent that I didn't even finish it. And let me tell you this does not EVER happen to me. I read whatever books I find, but this one? Nope. Not for me. I felt that it was kind of pointless? I don't know.. the first book was good and I think the writer shouldn't have wrote a part 2 just for the heck of it.
"If I were a carpenter, I would build you a window to my soul. But I would leave that window shut and locked, so that every time you tried to look through it . . . all you would see is your own reflection. You would see that my soul is a reflection of you . . ." from "Point of Retreat: A Novel (Slammed Book 2)" by Colleen Hoover
I loved this book. The unique family dynamic was so fun. 💖
After reading Slammed I wasn't sure I could love two characters more. The story is "real" as far as romance books go. It's down to the nitty gritty of relationships and life and dealing with all the things life throws at you. I have laughed, cried and felt the joy of both Lakeyn and Will. This is second book in the Slammed series; don't forget to read that one too!
Also help me name this kitten; we have had her for a week already!
If it was physically possible to throat punch a fictional character Vaughn would be the one 😡
Dear heart,
Are you ready?

Summertime and I'm always in the mood for romantic reads. 💕Colleen Hoover always delivers. And even though I've read each of her books at least twice, I find myself taking something different from them each time. Obsessed with the Slammed series.
Extremely predictable, but still a fun read. Review will be on my Goodreads soon. 💕
"...Like, take the word 'butterfly ', for example. What if someone decided one day that "butterfly" is a cuss word? People would eventually start using the word 'butterfly' as an insult and to emphasize things in a negative way. The actual word doesn't mean anything. It's the negative association people give these words that make them cuss words. So, if we all just decided to keep saying 'butterfly' all the time people would stop caring..."
Finished the second book to Slammed. It was AWESOME!!!! Love Colleen's book, they never disappoint! This book finishes out of the story of Lake and Will, and all the same characters from the first book, with a few great new addition's.
I'm a big CoHo fan, and I can get down with some young adult dramatic romance.... But this. Man oh man what a let down. It's been several weeks since I read book 1, so I have been influenced by many other books since, but the characters seemed to have regressed a decade in maturity. Their actions and personality do not line up with where they started in slammed. But I suppose what can you expect from "kids" raising kids.
Ohhh, I loved the second book of that series! I'm right on to the next one!
Point of retreat is such an easy read! Man, I'm in LOVE! ❤️
Decided to counter my reading funk with someone good paperback lit. 38 pages in and man, I remember again why I love Will and Lake! ❤️
I didn't even make it halfway to the #24in48 but I tried to carve out all the reading time I could. There's always next time! I'm a slower reader, but I was able to finish out 1, cover to cover a second and start a 3rd. Still not too shabby for a weekend.
Settled in for my last hour of #24in48 It was a tough weekend for me to dedicate so much time to reading, but I'm glad I was able to get in what I could 💁🏼☕️📚
168 pages in and I can't do it. I don't give up on books often but I can't handle the boringness. I don't care. Teenage angst with no point. And they aren't even teenagers anymore!
This series continues to be wonderful and darling. I'm glad I checked both this one and the next one out from the library when I finished Slammed. I'm having trouble stopping.
