Again trying to get this Notion thing working. I still need to change some things around if u can't see. I currently have 3 different pages for reading. I should only have 1. I just really love the layouts of all of them. I gotta make it my own.

Trying to finally get my Notion up and going. All I use it for is tracking my reads, but no more. I have a life to live and my house wont clean itself, but wouldn't that be awesome if it did. I need a SMART House. Anyone got any? HAHA

Another Hannah Orenstein book down and I must say that this one was just as good as her first, Playing with Matches. There were some elements of this book that I liked a little more than her first, but there were also times where this book became a little repetitive and dragged out. I‘m a sucker for a happy ending so I did love that! 🤍

This was warm and bubbly with a sprinkle of sizzle and craziness. The perfect blend for a romance.

I‘m not sure what to say about this book, or its protagonist. Eliza is a semi successful jewelry store owner who mistakenly posts she‘s engaged on social media. Only problem is, she isn‘t. However, the attention can only be good for business, right? What follows is a ridiculous setup that leaves you dismayed at the shallowness of Eliza, although I did like Raj. You basically spend a lot of time waiting for Eliza to learn a lesson that never comes.

This is quite possibly the blandest romance I have ever read. I‘m halfway in and I don‘t really care about anyone or how this terrible mess is going to miraculously work out. If you like reading about White Williamsburg hipsters, this is a book for you. This is the artesianal mayonnaise of books - I‘m good for that.

Anyone check this out yet? It doesn‘t get the best reviews, but the first few pages seemed decent.

I had high hopes for this book of how it started out. Half way through I wanted to bail but I was committed to finishing. This book put me in a hard book slump. 🙁

As a story, as a romance, as a piece of literature, this was “eh.” As an ethnographic and sociological picture of what it‘s like to be an urban millennial woman, this was fantastic. Honestly, this describes the pressures, assumptions, dreams, habits, mindset, and lifestyle of this subculture so well. It was clear but also subtle, and I would suggest to anyone who wants to know more about this subculture.

For that reason, ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Cute chick lit romantic comedy about a girl using Instagram to show her diamond ring and then everyone thinks she‘s engaged but really isn‘t. She ends up with the guy that i figured from the beginning but still fun to read.

August is vacation month. Here are some of this month‘s releases that would be perfect for your beach bag.

This was just okay for me. I liked that Eliza was driven and kind of unsympathetic at times and I liked a lot of the secondary characters but the plot fell completely flat for me.

Savoring a quiet moment tonight with this new release (so festive for Read a Romance Month!) while a thunderstorm rolls by outside ⛈📘☺️
