Thanks to #Netgalley I got a chance to read this book. I both started and finished it in a couple hours last night. A tough, emotional read that I hope lots of people read for interesting discussions in the future. This book releases in April.

BRILLIANT!!!! I have rarely read a book that should be read by EVERYONE!!!! It‘s heartbreaking but so so true for millions of young people out there! It touched me in a way that only a few other books have touched parts of me deep inside. If I could give it a million picks I would!
So my partner has challenged me to read 96 books by the end of this year which is still another 56 😱 but if I do it my reward is a shopping spree at Waterstones!! Well, I better crack onto my next book ASAP 📚
A treat to chat with Laura Bates at the Festival of Ideas today. I loved Girl Up and Misogynation. Laura kindly signed The Burning for my god-daughter. ✨
Amazing book to read. Good writing. Check out my full review on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2748594301?book_show_action=false&from_rev...
I‘m currently reading The Burning by Laura Bates. I like the issues raised in this book. It‘s about online abuse,m and sexual harassment. Though I feel like the story is a little bit draggy but I want to know the ending. Hope can finished it. Wish me luck!
This is exactly the kind of book that should be read in schools - I thought it was really well executed and loved the parallels between Witch hunting hundreds of years ago and the problems women still face today.

I received this e-arc from netgalley. My review is my own honest opinion.
I just knew this book would be worth reading. The author deftly links the misogyny & double standards in both the witchcraft accusations of old, & the present day treatment of girls & women. Recommended but it‘s not an easy read.
TW - revenge porn, bullying/cyber bullying.
Thanks to NetGalley & publishers, Simon & Schuster UK Children‘s, for the opportunity to review an ARC. #NetGalley
