I added a few more to my #192019 Challenge this past month.

In April:
Book of Lost Tales Vol 2 #1984
Lives of Girls and Women #1971
Middlesex #2002
The Breast #1972

In May:
They Shoot Horses, Don‘t They? #1935

And currently reading:
Binti:Night Masquerade #2018

Libby1 Have you read much Gunter Grass? I might be going to GdaÅ„sk (GG was born there) later this year and was interested in looking into his work. If you‘ve read his books is there one you‘d suggest to start with. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Libby1 Sadly, no I haven‘t read any of his works. 7y
Sarah83 @Libby1 Maybe you can start with this one 7y

I was wrong, I actually read 4 last month that I could add to my #192019 Challenge!

Good Morning, Midnight #1939
Strata #1981
Dune #1965
Book of Lost Tales Vol 1 #1983

Slowly, but surely.☺ï¸

Crazeedi Your idea is totally cool! 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Crazeedi I wish I could take credit, but all the credit goes to @Marchpane who thought up this great idea and shared it with us here on Litsy. 7y
Crazeedi @Riveted_Reader_Melissa is it too late to jump in? When did this start? I could look back to start date and see what books I've read 7y

CoffeeNBooks What a cool idea! 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Crazeedi When I started and asked the same question, she said it started as soon as you join, and count from then. But it‘s really independent, so if you want to go back to the beginning of this year, go for it. 7y
JazzFeathers Wow! You're making such good progress 😄 7y
DreesReads It‘s filling in! Have you heard from @Marchpane lately? 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @AudreyMorris No, I haven‘t. But I‘m hoping she‘ll be back eventually. But it has been quite awhile. 7y

Since I‘ve seen a few new people from #LibraryThing asking about Litsy Challenges, I thought I‘d post updates from a few of mine, with briefish explanations. This is my #192019 challenge, I started mine last year, the idea came from @Marchpane The idea was to read at least one book published each year from 1920 to 2019 I‘m still ticking them off as I read them, slowly but surely on this one.... but there is still lots of time, right?

Dolly Hmmm, interesting and fun to look at! 7y
Ashley_Nicoletto I love this idea! 7y

Updating my challenges today.... got a few more on my #192019 Challenge this month. To the Lighthouse from #Reading1001 and my #LitsyClassicsAtoZ because you also filled a date for me and Yay to The Carpet People from #PratchettPosse because you filled a spot too. As well as a bunch of Tolken reads from #LOTRChapterADay and #YearOfTolkien Unfinished Tales as well as a bunch of the short stories all filled dates I needed. ğŸ‘

Updated my #192019 Challenge! Looking good. Looks like the #LOTRChapterADay #YearofTolkien and #PratchettPosse are going to be very helpful for this endeavor. ğŸ‘

GarthRanzz Melissa is there any chance you have a blank copy of this challenge or can point me to one? I‘d love to admit to my #LitsyAtoZ and #LitsyByTheNumbers challenges. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @GarthRanzz Yes I can, I‘ll tag you on the blank one 7y
GarthRanzz Thank you so much! 7y

Slowly but surely, I‘m filling in a few more years here and there on my #192019 Challenge. My Tolkien #LOTRChapterADay group actually filled in quite a few and #Reading1001 has been adding some new to me classics into the mix.

Andrew65 This challenge looks interesting. 7y
theresidentromantic This is really awesome, I love it, I totally want to do this 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Andrew65 I heard of it from @Marchpane It‘s to read one book published each year between 1920 and 2019 7y

Andrew65 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Will have to explore this one, thanks for the information. 😊 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Andrew65 You‘re welcome 7y
ReadingEnvy I love how you're keeping track! 7y
UrsulaMonarch So cool - and beautiful! How are you generating the image? 👠7y
Gezemice This is so cool. I looked into doing this and I decided I don‘t want to start all over, instead I might do a challenge to read a book for each year I have not read for yet, back to 1900. Earlier than that I would probably need to go by decade, even earlier by century... oh and I totally love your graphic. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @UrsulaMonarch The background image I made, and I posted on here awhile ago for anyone who wanted to take a screenshot and use it too (I‘ll scroll back and find it and tag you), then I use a free app called “Over†it lets you layer any image over any other. So with the background, I just take screenshots or photos of the covers, crop them, and then add them overtop each year‘s number as I go shrinking them to fit. 7y
UrsulaMonarch @Riveted_Reader_Melissa thanks!! Sorry I'd missed the first post! 😬 7y
DreesReads I‘m just finding this now, looking to see who else is still working on this challenge! I would love to screenshot your background, it‘s great! But I can‘t find it 😕 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @AudreyMorris I tagged you on it.👠7y
DreesReads Thank you! 7y
