pickA lovely book, about what it is to be a reader and how we apprehend the world within and without books. A much easier read, shorter, than On Curiosity, a complement to A History of Reading, with more Don Quixote and less Dante. This Manguel fangirl is happy.
At a coffeehouse with the boys after we had our eyes exams. Tried to read, but my eyes are still too dilated and also the boys are here. The cupcake was good, at least.
No snow storm here, and lots of wind, but my adventures in transportation from last week and my day working at uni yesterday have plowed me over. Staying home this morning, no yoga, and going to my physio this pm. Reading tagged.

Guys! Guys! My second day, only conference day, went wonderfully!!!! Great academics, great analyses, very generative discussions. Almost compensates for yesterday. In any case, it's evening and I have this genuine French lemon tart and the tagged book before I go to bed. Tomorrow, the journey in reverse. 👋👋👋
I am absolutely exhausted and fed up and angry. At this point, I've been up for over 24h, I've not eaten in 6h. I'm tired and thirsty and was led on a merry-go-round for almost a 1.5h before I got to the actual train station. At this point, I will have missed the entire day of proceedings. Gah.
I'm on the last flight out on Air France. Signing out, see you on another continent.
