The sequel to A. D. 30 was just as good as the first.

I appreciate Christian fiction that isn't corny.

Maviah's story continues as she fights for the life of her adopted son and continues to try to understand the teachings of Yeshua.

Imagine how confusing it would have been to be around in Jesus' time without the benefit of history. Dekker does a great job describing what that might have been like.

eanderson Great review! I have this on Audible and I‘m excited for it. 3y

#2018checkin

1️⃣ 33
2️⃣ I always set it at 36 on goodreads and then adjust as the year goes on. Also: 40 prose pages per day.
3️⃣ I love Stephen King in the summer. Best book this particular summer was maybe The Good Soldier?
4️⃣ Two I‘m especially looking forward to: The Years of Rice and Salt and House of Leaves, which will be a reread.

So this is just my physical TBR Pile! Only a fraction of these are on my Litsy TBR List. No more buying books until I can make a dent in this pile!!

BookishTrish Sweet stack 7y
LazyDays Nice stack of books! If I had a physical stack of my TBR....I'd be using them to make a shelter🙌😂✌ 7y

Ted Dekker has done it again with his continuation of Maviah‘s journey. This book was fantastic and I couldn‘t put it down, as per usual with his books, for me at least.

So I went into another room to get his lead for our final walk of the day and I come back to this! I still woke him up and took him out...he wasn't to happy! But I needed to air while I listened to my book! #dogsitting

This book was not as good as the first in the series. The first was amazing! This one was not very good.

Leniverse Hate it when that happens, and it does seem to happen relatively often. Second book syndrome. Or middle book syndrome if it's a trilogy. 7y
blog_gal @Leniverse yeah I'm not sure if this is going to be a trilogy but the first book was amazing and this book just wasn't good at all. 7y

Listening to these two audiobooks while at work. AD 33 is not as good as the first in the series, AD 30, but it is pretty great. 3/5 stars so far. There is not as much action in AD 33 as there was in AD 30. As for Order of the Phoenix, this is a reread and I'm enjoying this one, as always! I love Jim Dale's narration!

I have quite a few #autobuyauthors. Brandon Sanderson, Nora Roberts, JK Rowling, etc. But Ted Dekker had been on that list the longest, and I actually own everything he's published! #marchintoreading

Laura317 Ted Dekker is awesome. 👍🏼 8y
EllieDottie Great choice! I love his stories! 8y
