#SeasonsReadings2016 Days 26-27: a #bookish #gift and what I'm hoping will be a #Litten in the making! I can't wait to get started on this anthology, but I'm saving it for 2017!

Most of the books that were brought to the #OmnivorousBookClub last night, with most of the treats as well 😋. A two-hour discussion on our recent horror reads made for a great night. Great group of readers! (The center pan has Lucky Charms treats, which were gooey and delectable!) Do you belong to any bookclubs that have everyone bring a different book?

andreadmw I run a bookclub at work where we just all discuss the books we've each read that past month and give each other recommendations. 8y
TheLondonBookworm The only way to buy lucky charms here is at over a fiver a box- this makes me endlessly sad :( 8y
kspenmoll Great idea! 8y

Kirstin Sounds like a fun way to get book recs! Don't you want to discuss your book with others who have read it though? 8y
Kitta Sounds like fun! You need to give me a run down of all your books clubs at some point 😂 8y
Sweettartlaura Yep, the No Book Book Club (bring 2 books you want to talk about - love 'em or hate 'em) 8y
quirkyreader I'm not part of one but I have heard about the Silent Reading Book Club. 8y
StellaDz The book club I'm in has actually just revamped to be a 'read what what you want' but we have decided to regulate it a bit and choose a genre per month. Our first month trying it will be our next meeting so I'm excited to hear about other successful meetings/clubs that do it! 8y
Faibka That's such a great idea! Need to find more book lovers in my area 😔 nice picture by the way :) would've love to hear the comments on Bird Box! 8y
MrBook @andreadmw Ooh, that sounds fun, never a dull moment 😊👍🏻! @TheLondonBookworm When I visited your most excellent country, I went into a supermarket in Bristol, and I was fascinated at the differences with my country. You need more cereal over there for starters, and tater tots, and Hershey's 😁! @kspenmoll It works out well 😊👍🏻! @Kirstin Exactly ☺️🙌🏻! @Kitta 😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! Do you really though 😜? 8y
MrBook @Sweettartlaura Why does that one sound familiar to me 🤔? @quirkyreader That sounds ridiculous 😆😜!! @StellaDz Yes! That's what we do 😊. Last month was adventure and the month before was biography. @Faibka It's okay *pat on the back*. They're out there! Have you tried meetup.com? 8y
StellaDz @MrBook nice! For our first meeting we our keeping it broad and doing anything Halloween/scary. I've read a couple and am currently working on my big read Anno Dracula The Bloody Red Baron by Kim Newman. 8y
MrBook @StellaDz Nice 😊👍🏻! 8y
Ruri_kaichou There was a documentary that I watched last year called... Book Club? It's on Hulu. But it's about a group of women who had their book club go on for 60 years! And they did exactly that. They meet every month and talked and swapped books. Super cute! 8y
Daisey I love the idea of this kind of book club! I always have such a TBR and don't tend to buy a lot of books, so it's hard for me to acquire and make time for a specific book at a specific time. 📚 Just talking books sounds perfect. 😃 8y
MrBook @Ruri_kaichou Oh, wow!!!! That is so cool! @Daisey 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🙌🏻! 8y
Yournewfriendsams A BYOB book club is a great idea 💡 might have to steal it 😏 How many book clubs are you and @BookBabe a part of, you reading machines!! 8y
LitsyGoesPostal 😊👍🏻 8y
andreadmw @Kirstin in my group, we will take each other's recommendations, so a book you brought on October, 1 or 2 people might read then you have that discussion in November/December or even if it happens later. There are some authors we all love equally, so when a new Mary Roach or Diana Gabaldon come out, pretty much everyone reads it that month so we all discuss it. 8y
MrBook @Yournewfriendsams 😉👍🏻! I think eight 😂👏🏻. @andreadmw Nice 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻!!! We have a Christmas Book Grab Bag for December meetings, and then innJanuary everyone discusses the book they got 😊. 8y
andreadmw I love that idea!! I think I'm going to take it if you don't mind @MrBook 8y
Kirstin Sounds fun @andreadmw ! 👍 8y
Faibka @MrBook Yes, I found one, thanks! 😄 8y
MrBook @andreadmw By all means ☺️👌🏻. @Faibka WOOHOO 😁👏🏻🙌🏻!!! Which one? I'll look it up too ☺️. 8y
