Preach, brother.
A good story. It's about books, reading, freedom of reading what you want, imagination. The graphics are a bit caricatural but fit the tone of the story. Freedom to read, freedom to not read. But not the right to impose your views and faith to others. Freedom to find an escape in books. #booked2019 #summer #graphicnovel
Story - five stars. I mean, it's a librarian and a book-loving kid fighting the people who think they should have a say over what other people should read. All the stars. Art - three stars. It just wasn't my cup of tea. Also, I kept putting off reading this book because I found the cover so unappealing. Totally worth the read, but I wish they would redesign the cover to make it more appealing to the intended audience.
This book is about banning books in a small town library. I went through something similar when I was a teenager about Harry Potter and it is reminding me a lot of that time
