crowdfunding for small #farms without access to traditional forms of financing, making consumers direct investors in the farm that grows their food.”

I have been a proud supporting member of a Maryland-based #CSA since 2010. I highly recommend that others give a local CSA (community supported agriculture) a try!

SqueakyChu I did not finish this book because I had to return it to the library. However, it is a very good resource for anyone living in the DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia area). 6y
SqueakyChu I only bailed because this book was due back at the library. I read about half and thought it is a very good local resource for individuals in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area., 6y

I was very excited to find this book in my local library. It‘s about the #locavore food movement, but it especially focuses on the DC/Maryland/Virginia area so that many of the places discussed in this book are well known to me. As former editor of a #CSA newsletter and a devotee of local, organic food, I find reading this book is great fun! What a lucky find for me! 👍
