Mandy Baggot is one of my favourite Christmas authors, her characters are always so charming, vivid and real! When small-town truck driver Lara's boyfriend tells her he wants to go on a break, her best friend Susie whisks her away for a festive visit to NYC. There she meets actor Seth, who gets swept into her plan to explore the city and find out how much more she can be. Meanwhile she encourages him to discover more of his own identity...

This was such a great read. It's a perfect Christmas story and I enjoyed every minute of it. Yes it's quite predictable but I loved it. The plot flows well and there's lots going on to keep a reader entertained. The ending was perfect and just how I wanted it to end. It's a modern story and I loved all the little references like the Good Place.
