I‘ve been working out of town and just got home tonight. Think he missed me?? 😀😍 #JacktheDorkie #dogsoflitsy
After working 12 days in a row, enjoying some down time in the dog friendliest hotel ever (in Yorkshire). They even had a little doggie welcome pack. I think we need to get us some wingback chairs at home. Reading one of my #halloweengoespostal books from @jhod

Plenty of jungle here - not necessarily welcoming though!

There's a fair amount of the jungle in this 😀
"What is it, to know you were going to die? We all carry that knowledge inside us, he thought: it is the one thing we know for certain."
Surely that should make us all live better.
A gripping and original spy thriller so far.... Perfect weekend read
Really enjoyed Apple Tree Yard. Looking forward to starting her new book tonight.
Making progress on some of these eARC books that will expire soon. Hooray for #biblioweekend
Delighted to have bought this on the way home and now desperately looking forward to reading it. I was at university with Louise Doughty some thirty-odd years ago, but am convinced I would have loved her novels anyway, even if I had never met her. 'Apple Tree Yard' (her last book) was simply superb
I'm torn on this one one hand I think it's really brilliant and on the other it was a drag to read at times. Harper is a troubled man living away from society and waiting for unknown people to kill him, but why? Back story looking at race & family brilliant. Secret service & Bali sections a bit meh.
Time for some crime. And so to my next book... Having LOVED reading Apple Tree Yard in 2014 I am so excited about Louise Doughty's new novel.
