Take two American teen chefs, add one heaping cup of Paris, toss in a pinch of romance, and stir. . . . Rosie Radeke firmly believes that happiness can be found at the bottom of a mixing bowl. But she never expected that she, a random nobody from East Liberty, Ohio, would be accepted to celebrity chef Denis Laurent's school in Paris, the most prestigious cooking program for teens in the entire world. Life in Paris, however, isn't all cream puffs and crepes. Faced with a challenging curriculum and a nightmare professor, Rosie begins to doubt her dishes. Henry Yi grew up in his dad's restaurant in Chicago, and his lifelong love affair with food landed him a coveted spot in Chef Laurent's school. He quickly connects with Rosie, but academic pressure from home and his jealousy over Rosie's growing friendship with gorgeous bad-boy baker Bodie Tal makes Henry lash out and push his dream girl away. Desperate to prove themselves, Rosie and Henry cook like never before while sparks fly between them. But as they reach their breaking points, they wonder whether they have what it takes to become real chefs. Perfect for lovers of Chopped Teen Tournament and Kids Baking Championship, as well as anyone who dreams of a romantic trip to France, Love la Mode follows Rosie and Henry as they fall in love with food, with Paris, and ultimately, with each other.

Mehso-so

It was pretty good but had too much miscommunication issues and people not talking to each other. The love story was fine, and reading a book set in Paris was fun but I don‘t recommend reading this while you‘re hungry.

BookishGirl06 This was also a #bookspin pick this month @TheAromaofBooks (edited) 4y
TheAromaofBooks I'm always annoyed when a story's “conflict“ could be resolved with a five-minute conversation lol 4y

2. Swimming
3. I love baking: cakes, muffins, breads, cinnamon rolls 😋
4. Hedwig‘s Theme from Harry Potter

Definitely a fun read to start the weekend. Henry, who dreams of being a chef, & Rosie, who dreams of being a pastry chef, meet on the plane & discover they are going to the same cooking school in Paris. Good food, hijinks, family drama, romance, mean girls, chefs, Paris, pastries & more combine to make a fun story. If you‘re a fan of food, treats, cooking shows, restaurants, Paris &, of course, good friends & first love, this is the book for you.

So cute, so sweet! The perfect YA falling in love story 😍 I will say, reading this made me very hungry 😋 it reminded me of Top Chef and of course my fav, Great British Baking Show. The group of friends were great and so funny! Like Mel, Sue, Sandy and Noel. I ❤️ GBBS, can you tell?

Just started this cute story about an international celebrity cooking boarding school for teenagers. In Paris. It is adorable and funny so far, like watching a teen Top Chef, maybe. I am loving it so far!
