I described Whitman on IG as a "poet of mornings" & I read these over months, every morning, & he gave me life. I know his exhortatory style is easy to make fun of (I do, too!) but I ❤️ it. Whitman is the GOAT. I need to invest in a nice edition of Leaves of Grass.

Centique Walt Whitman is the GOAT 🙌. I love that! I haven‘t read a lot of Walt but I love reading parts of Leaves of Grass out loud. So stirring. I think your idea of reading it in the mornings is brilliant 😍 2y
