I read this as a challenge to read a book published the year I was born. This was the first steam punk I‘d ever read and I truly enjoyed it.

So... I'm a steampunk and so I thought I should read the book that started it all from the author that coined the term.
It was okay. I enjoyed the writing, I really enjoyed the world, the invention, and the characters but the plot went out the window with 50 pages to go and became almost irrelevant to the conclusion.
Despite enjoying the ride I was left feeling very disappointed.

This month seems to be more of a YA month.
I seriously can‘t even begin to describe how much this book should be set on fire and how glad I am that this is no longer the standard for Steampunk.
A little slow still and I‘m kind of over authors using the “speak to the reader” narrative because it just pulls me back out of the book.
The last few days there has been lots of talk about #steampunk It is one of my favorite genres. To help out those looking for more Steampunk titles, I only ever remember 3 off the top of my head. To rectify that I made a steampunk list on a Goodreads that anyone is welcome to look at or share. The books are in. O particular order.
