The 2010 remake of nightmare on elm street is, exactly as everyone predicted, trash. I find bad horror movies weirdly comforting though. My mental health has been very bad recently and you‘d think horror would be the last thing I need, but wrapping scary ideas up in so much trope and ritual where you always know exactly what‘s gonna happen works really well for me, idk why. Maybe I get catharsis from watching the horrifying thing get defeated?
