Well, I had to cancel my usual midnight sausages because it‘s a pain day and things got pretty bad this evening and I had to take to my bed for a while. Standing at the stove didn‘t seem like a great option after that.

I finished MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, though, and I tore through vol 3 of FENCE! This was my favourite one yet. It took me to 10:36. #deweyoct #readathon

GirlNamedJesse @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I‘ll admit, it‘s been a few years since I read volumes 1&2 and I spent the first part of the book thinking Nicholas and Seiji were the half-siblings. I was like: there is some WEIRD tension between these two! 😂 Very happy that there is something entirely different going on! 🤣 3y

An exciting volume! The buildup of tension from both the competition and the high stakes made the final team selections highly satisfying. I was also very delighted to see the covers by HamletMachine! Looking forward to the next volume. #comic #lgbtq #lgbtqauthors #sports #fencing

I love this story. The drama of the fencing. It‘s amazing how involved I feel with these athletes and their love lives.

Sace Ohhhh....this looks interesting. It's such a shame that libraries don't usually have manga available on overdrive/digital platforms. Still, I will check to see if any of my libraries has this one... 5y

katy4peas @Sace see if your library has RB Digital or Hoopla. I know mine offers magazines and comics and graphic novels through RB Digital. There are tons of things on there, but the name doesn‘t mean anything so it gets ignored! Good Luck! 5y

I've gone on a book buying/swapping spree since the pandemic started. I'm usually good at limiting myself & using the library when I want to read stuff, only buying what I really like. Half of these, I've already read & am trying to get all the books. The rest are next installments! This is the first pile! 😄😄😄

Enjoying the third volume of this graphic novel series about a high school fencing team! But also kind of can‘t believe it took this long just to get through team tryouts. Things move slowly but the drama is REAL.

[#ComicBookReview] Fence Volume Three! This is by far my favorite one out of the three. We get great fencing moments, some funny moments, and great character development that really pushes the plot forward and makes me even more excited for the next volume. It‘s torture that we have to wait till May but I think it‘ll be worth it. 🤺📖
