pickDecided to spend a couple of days seeing how American history is being presented to young readers by reading a series I've seen around a decent bit the last several years.
This is a really good addition to Nathan Hale's graphic novel history series, particularly after reading One Dead Spy, which kicks it off. Both are about the American Revolution and present an in-depth picture of the war, while being accessible to kids. I def recommend it!

Schoolhouse Rock taught me all I needed to know about the Revolutionary War. Nathan Hale taught me about Lafayette, which Schoolhouse Rock didn't include too much of. 😍

pickLafayette was so weirdly endearing, so ambitious but also modest. I dunno. It's weird I've never heard of the guy considering how big a role he played in the revolution.
These graphic novels are so great though, very accessible and entertaining for kiddos that don't really read.
Out in October! My son would be super excited if he knew but...he doesn‘t. I think I‘ll surprise him with it when it is published. He loves this series of humorous, graphic novel retellings of historical events. Ever time he reads one, he spends the next couple of days spitting out all the facts he learned.
