The art in this volume really varies, and it is not all for me. This is where I stopped reading in my original read through of the series, but I've already started 6 and I will persevere!

I finished writing a 20 page assignment, so I‘m rewarding myself with some brain candy for the night while the hubby plays Mass Effect… Just a few more months to go….

Honestly for half this volume I was just like, wtf is going on? I think Wiebe is trying to tie up what happened at the end of vol 3 but it was so long ago I read it I had kind of forgotten what had happened. There are multiple timelines going on with multiple versions of the same character which just makes for a very confusing story. I love these characters but this was not my favourite installment. I hope things are cleared up in the next one.

Oof I need something light to read after my last book (very good and thought provoking, but heavy!)

I stayed up until about 5 in the morning because the books I‘m currently reading are so dang good. I just woke up now. 🤭Looks like I‘ve got to catch up on some challenges! Here are my favorite comic series. I love a badass crew of strong females! #24in48

So, this series has taken a serious nosedive concerning story quality and coherency (not to mention fun). I had a hard time keeping track of what was going most of the time and the varying art styles did not help at all. I‘m hoping this particular volume was just a failed experiment and the series picks up in the next one ( 🤞 ).

First read of the new year! I love Rat Queens.

So obvi it's a no brainer 5 star pick! But can we talk for a moment about my stupidity!?? Here I am wondering how much I've forgotten in an intervening year of reading for this volume to not make quite as much sense when I realise I NEVER READ THE 4TH VOLUME!!!!!

I‘m still having a hard time with these newer incarnations as they try to reconcile the old storyline with new one. It still feels a bit disjointed to me, but even really contorted storyline Rat Queens is still Rat Queens.
